Should the Buccaneers Take a Shot at Jarvis Landry?

0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been wizards with the salary cap in recent seasons. That wizardry allowed the Buccaneers to bring back every starter from their Super Bowl winning team.

The question of who the Buccaneers 3rd wide receiver will be has been up in the air since former Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown pranced off the field last season. While there are some good options out there in free agency, one of them would be an absolute dream to add as a weapon for Tom Brady.

Can You Imagine

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports that the Buccaneers may be a player in signing wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Can you imagine?

I know what you’re thinking, “the Bucs don’t have the cap room”, right? I’ll refer to the previous statement about the “wizardry” of the Buccaneers bean-counters. Obviously it’s a bit of a long-shot, but this is absolutely doable for Licht and company. We know the Buccaneers are going to do several restructures and extensions to create cap space. We also know that free agents tend to be more willing to negotiate when you have that game named Brady at the helm.

The Big Three?

Take a moment to imagine Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Jarvis Landry lined up with Brady under center. Antonio Brown who? I’ll reiterate this is a long-shot, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
