Buccaneers Brady Reports Early for OTAs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have kicked off their 2022 OTAs this week and had a little surprise with who showed up. Special thanks to JC Allen of Pewter Report for the pictures.

Veteran players, especially those of Tom Brady’s caliber don’t typically attend OTAs. Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich is used to veterans like Brady not attending these workouts.

“I don’t need to see him,” Leftwich said. “He’s done enough OTAs…and this is what we’ve done really since me and him got together. We’ve really had no summer…but the conversations that we have, the understanding of each other…we’ll be fine if he participates or not.”

So, with the success the Buccaneers have had without Brady being at OTAs, imagine how much better or at least in sync the offense will be?

Brady showing up for OTAs might point to him seeing this season as his last and wants everything in order. The Buccaneers do have a lot of new players and a new head coach, so maybe Brady is just looking to build chemistry? Either way, having more Brady on the practice field is always better.
