If the offense isn’t working and you have Andrew Luck, then it’s safe to say the one calling the play’s is the one to blame. This firing comes after a spree of coach firing throughout this season. The tale of the tape doesn’t lie, it seemingly worked in Miami who recently fired their head coach and their offensive coordinator, and Tennessee and Detroit soon followed suit. Hopefully, this works out for their teams, but ultimately only time will tell.
“Through the first eight weeks of the season, we have felt our offense hasn’t performed at the consistent level that we need,” the statement read. “Because of this we’ve decided to go in a different direction and relieve Pep Hamilton of his duties as offensive coordinator. As head coach of this team, it’s my responsibility to make sure I’m doing everything we can to put us in the best position to succeed.
