Mike Evans has done rather well considering he is taking up much of the slack on the receiving side of the ball. He does have some improving to do, but, he cannot do everything himself. With no other receiving threats on the field, adjusting a defense to contain one primary target is an easy thing to do. Although, Evans hasn’t found the end zone twice this season, he is still shining in the darkness that is the wounded wide receiver corp, and no one should be critical of that.
“Bucs wideout Mike Evans topped Big Blue’s Odell Beckham on Sunday in receiving yards and targets, but blamed himself this week for a rash of drops that helped bury Tampa in a 32-18 loss to the Giants.” “I proclaim myself to be one of the best receivers in the game and I’m not showing it,” Evans said, per SportsTalkFlorida.com. “I’ve got to be better for this team, I’ve gotta put in the work and I’m gonna come back.” – Reported by Marc Sessler
