Lavonte David will finally be heading to the Pro Bowl. He wasn’t voted in as a starter, but he did get voted in as an alternate. Now that chance has arrived, and he will get the much-deserved trip to Hawaii. Hopefully, there will be many more trips to come for the 5th year linebacker, as he has earned five trips, to the Pro Bowl, as a first selection. But for some reason, he was overlooked every time. At least, we can all add that number 54 David Pro Bowl jersey to our collection.
“It wasn’t the conventional way, but Bucs linebacker Lavonte David and guard Logan Mankins will join Gerald McCoy and Doug Martin in Honolulu representing Tampa Bay in the NFL Pro Bowl. With Denver and Carolina heading to Super Bowl 50, David, the first alternate, takes the place of Broncos’ Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware and the Panthers’ Thomas Davis in Hawaii next week.”– Reported by Zach Shapiro
