Yesterday, the Buccaneers announced that they have waived kicker Patrick Murray. Waived at the beginning of last season he went unclaimed and ended up with a seat on the Bucs injury reserve. The release of Murray comes in the wake of signing rookie kicker Robert Aguayo, who’s waves also lead to the release of kicker Connor Barth. Barth is currently in the middle of signing with the New Orleans Saints and could prove to be a nusiance for the Buccaneers as we play the division rivals twice a year.
Murray could find himself on another team fairly quckly as kicker needy teams are always looking for a veteran. Murray is a veteran with plenty left in the tank and should make short work of most competition.
