Aguayo wins the game in Carolina and wins Clutch Performer of the week

Robert Aguayo who has been called everything but a winner, not only won the Monday Night game against the divisional rival but also won the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week. The rookie kicker who struggled much of the preseason and through the first five games of the regular season was the only special teams player to be nominated for the award in week 5. Aguayo was among some big names nominated for the award, in week 5 and he beat them all. Tom Brady and Andrew Luck are the on the top of the list, as well as, Falcons up and coming star running back, Tevin Coleman. According to Joe Kania of Buccaneers.com, in the past  two seasons, the Bucs have won all but one fan-voted award a player has been nominated for. Says a lot about our fan base, no matter how hard they hit social media to ridicule a player, they will still vote their behinds off to make sure he gets the win instead of letting someone else have the glory.

The most surprising fact in the award being won by Aguayo is that it is fan voted. It seems that Aguayo’s fan base is still as strong as it has ever been. I mean you don’t vote a draft bust to win anything, do you?

He may have missed a couple kicks in that game, but was clutch when it mattered most, so he definitely deserves the win. I am one who has never doubted him one bit.
