Reminiscing

As the 2016 NFL Season comes to end, there were a lot of positives about this season. I’m going to try to draw attention away from Super Bowl 51 and take one last look at our Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From start to finish, this has been one hell of a rollercoaster season. I mean seriously from the terrible 40-7 shutouts to the ugly Primetime games (Thursday), all the way to 5 game winning streaks, and the uprising of a too far gone defense. It really has been a year to talk about, but I want to focus in only on some key parts.

For one, and I think the most important, the rejuvenating feeling of having a defense again. It is still lacking in some spots, but hot dDamn, what I saw in the latter part of the year from our defense, made me feel tingly on the inside. So many TV remotes have suffered fatal injuries due to watching the Bucs defense, in the past. But looks like those days are coming to an end.

Let me ask you something; When was the last time this team had a vocal leader? Not just on one side of the ball, but a leader of the team as a whole. Well, we have one now, and I’m proud to say that Jamies Winston is one that needs to be heard. Some of his pre-game speeches were powerful enough to even get the fans fired up. And that is something special. It is refreshing heading into the offseason with a winning record and that has me excited for what’s to come.

Man, next year can’t get here soon enough.

LET’S GO BUCS!
