Could Tampa benefit from another veteran CB?

Tampa Bay is still searching for some help in the secondary. The defense will continue to explore options with the draft and upcoming free agency period. One of the veteran names that will come up is recently released, CB Leodis McKelvin. McKelvin is a solid defensive player and could help out the secondary tremendously. McKelvin is 32 years old and entering his 10th season in the NFL. Tampa does have money, but McKelvin shouldn’t demand high money and can still be an effective stopper in the passing game.

McKelvin started with the Buffalo Bills and his most recent stop landed him in Philadelphia. He has 15 total interceptions in his 9-year career to go along with 300 total tackles. He is a proven commodity in a league that has become all about throwing the ball down the field. There are younger options out there on the market, but the risk-reward factor is better with McKelvin. He has been very durable throughout his career as he has played in 111 out of 144 games. Only in two seasons did he not play in 10 or more games. Could he be interested in Tampa we will have to wait and see? GO BUCS!
