Who is Riley Bullough? Riley played all four years at Michigan State University. He went undrafted but instantly signed a 3 year deal with Tampa Bay after the draft worth $1.66 million dollars. During his career at Michigan State, Riley compiled 154 tackles with 12.5 going for loss including 5 sacks. He even had 4 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries.

Riley is currently the third “MIKE” linebacker. Coach Koetter had much praise for the rookie out of Michigan State. On Hard Knocks last week Coach Koetter spoke very Highly of Riley. He called Riley a leader and said you don’t have to be the star player on the team to be a great leader. Riley is very vocal on the field. Another thing Coach Koetter recognized of him is that he always knows where to be during a play.

It is always a great thing to have the head coach call out your name during a team meeting. It shows the coach is really taking a noticing in you. Riley has the challenge to make the roster spot since the Buccaneers already have two starters and two other people fighting for the SAM position. Friday, the Buccaneers play the Cincinnati Bengals and can really prove why he deserves one of the 53- man roster spot. If Riley just keeps showing how great of a leader he is, he can make a real impact as a backup linebacker and special teams player. Riley Bullough’s future is very bright. GO BUCS!
