On Tuesday afternoon, the Buccaneers announced the release of CB Johnathan Moxey and the signing of CB David Rivers to the practice squad.

Rivers, who was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent during the off-season, was waived with an injury designation shortly after signing with the team.

The Miami native played his college ball at Youngtown State, where he played for two seasons before heading to the NFL. In those two seasons, he played in 25 games, recording 33 tackles, 1 sack, 13 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble. Only time will tell if he makes it onto the 53 man roster.
