The NFL trade deadline has passed without a sound from One Buc Place. A busy day for teams has been and gone and some blockbuster trades have been the talk of the internet. Still the fax machines stayed silent. Was there that little interest in Buccaneers? Was the value offered that poor? Were the front office that disinterested in players that “might” have been available? Wasn’t there value in the market?
In today’s hyper-connected world, where everyone seems to know who’s talking to who, I would be inclined to state that nobody enquired about our players, with current performances I can’t blame them. It would also appear that our front office were not interested in the trade market either. Would it not have been prudent to explore any and all options to attempt to revive a season that started out so hopefully, ultimately to be ending in familiar despair?
