Welcome Carl Nassib!

Our Tampa Bay Buccaneers have grabbed Carl Nassib off waiver from the Cleveland Browns. You may also remember Nassib from the NFL’s “Hark Knock” series on HBO.Carl Nassib younger brother of former New York Giants Quarterback Ryan Nassib. Has spent two seasons with the Browns before getting served his walking papers during this off-season roster cut.

Carl Nassib has been productive since has been with the Cleveland Browns. When someone is cut by a team, being unproductive isn’t always the reason why it could be the scheme fit. Since being drafted by the Browns Nassib has picked up 2.5 sacks in 2016 and 3 sacks in 2017. Nassib’s production should sky rocket northward because of the talent he will be surrounded by in Tampa Bay. Nassib is a massive 6’7 in height and weights 275 pounds. That means he can play both inside and outside of the defensive line.

Current Bucs players that should be concerned about this signing is veterans Noah Spence and William “The Ghost” Gholston. If Nassib can come into Tampa Bay and produce at the level I know he can then those two could be in trouble.

My prediction for Carl Nassib will be five to seven sacks ranges this season based on how much playing time he should see. Nassib will fit in very well with us so look for him to be fully ready around the time Winston comes back from suspension. Nassib will have to learn a whole new system and earn the trust of his teammates and coaches.
