Jameis Is Ready To Make The Most Of His Return

Jameis Winston makes his return Sunday as a full starter against the Falcons in Atlanta and is ecstatic to be back under the helm to open the game.

Winston finished serving his three-game suspension and was set to return in week 4. But because of the way Fitzpatrick played in Chicago, Winston was thrust into a blowout. Winston played well considering the situation. Despite throwing two interceptions, he managed to find Brate in the end zone for the only Buccaneers touchdown. Jameis showed enough to reclaim the starting role.

Winston knows he has to make the most of this situation and stated such at the podium during Thursday’s press conference: “Having this taken away from you briefly, it can make you reflect on things, like last year when I had my shoulder injury. It was tough for me. Even though I was happy we had success, I’ve never been out of football, you know, like out of the loop. So every day is a blessing to be a Tampa Bay Buccaneer and play this great game. So I’ve got to do my best to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Jameis Winston has had success against the Falcons and should continue the trend this week. He has recorded 1,294 yards, 12 TDs, and 3 INTs all-time vs the Falcons. Also, he is 1-3 vs the Falcons at Ray Jay and 2-0 vs the Falcons on the road.

Jameis Winston’s stats on the road vs Atlanta are 458 yards through the air and 5 TDs with only 1 interception, 27 rushing yards and another touchdown. If he can continue that kind of performance on Sunday, the Buccaneers should win this predicted shootout 34-31.
