Cappa Earns First Playing Time

Last Sunday against the 49ers rookie guard Alex Cappa earned his first playing time this season. When coaches noticed Caleb Bennenoch was his usual awful self, the coaches went with Cappa.

Cappa, a rookie out of small Humboldt State, was drafted in the 3rd round in the 2019 draft. His college game tape makes him look like a man amongst boys while playing at RT. Cappa kept his QB on his feet in the passing game and frequently laid huge pancake blocks in the running game.

So far coaches have thought Cappa not ready on the pro level, but Sunday, when it became evident Bennenoch couldn’t block a fly, they decided to go with Cappa. Cappa fared well in his first game time, and we can hope to see more of the rookie guard in the future.
