In the Bucs victory against the Panthers last Sunday numerous DBs were injured. This included veteran CB Brent Grimes, and, frankly, he wasn’t missed.
The Bucs signed Grimes in 2016 in hopes of adding some help to its shaky defensive backfield. Grimes was great his first two seasons, but this year his talent is starting to fade away. He’s now 35 years old and extremely close to retirement.
Grimes used to be one of the best, making four Pro Bowls. This year he’s just not the same Grimes we’re used to. Nothing against Grimes, but it’s time the Bucs add some new talent in their backfield.
