NFL: Fantasy Football Week 15 Start ‘Em ‘N’ Sit ‘Em

0

Week fifteen of the NFL and fantasy season is here. It is round two of the playoffs. If you need one game, this is that game. We are here to make sure you stay alive in your championship run. In saying that, here are your week fifteen starts n sits.

Starts

QB

Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

Jackson has been a pleasant switch for the Ravens. So much so, that he will start the remainder of the season. A matchup in week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers brings the opportunity for a good stat line. The Bucs are averaging 27 fantasy PPG to QBs away from Raymond James.

RB

Dalvin Cook – Minnesota Vikings

This could be a solid game for Cook to break out. He has seen an increase in carries since being healthy. That could pay off against the Miami Dolphins. Their defense is averaging close to five yards per carry to opposing backs away from Miami.

WR

Dante Pettis – San Francisco 49ers

Pettis is quickly becoming a go-to target for the Niners. Keep him your lineup this week against the Seattle Seahawks. He had two TDs the last time the two teams met.

TE

Jared Cook – Oakland Raiders

It is tough to play a member of the Raiders lately. However, Cook is the exception. He has 100+ yards in his last two games. Making him one of the only reliable offensive options for Derek Carr.

K

Ka’imi Fairbairn – Houston Texans

A matchup against the New York Jets will allow Fairbairn to bounce back after a not so good week. The Jets have allowed the most FG conversions and a total of 32 extra points this season.

Defense

New York Giants

The Giants are a tough play. However, they have been a solid defense over the past couple of weeks. The Giants are 4-1 in their last five games. The defense has been a big contributor.

These are the players that you want to ride with through round two. Next, we will give you the players that will die.

SITS

QB

Ryan Tannehill – Miami Dolphins

Tannehill has been playing some good football of late. He has three multi TD games since his return from injury. That may stop this week against the Minnesota Vikings. Their defense has only allowed four TDs at US Bank Stadium.

RB

Kenyan Drake – Miami Dolphins

Outside of the miracle finish, Drake put up horrible numbers last week. That could stay the course against a Minnesota Vikings defense that has been tough on the run.

WR

Calvin Ridley – Atlanta Falcons

Ridley has been a disappointment since his midseason explosion. His fantasy disappointment could continue this week against the Arizona Cardinals. They have allowed just five TDs on the season outside the numbers.

TE

Trey Burton – Chicago Bears

After a strong start to 2018, Burton has slacked off. He has had two fantasy points or fewer in two out of his last four games. Keep him down against the Green Bay Packers who have only allowed one TD to TEs.

K

Josh Lambo – Jacksonville Jaguars

A game against the Washington Redskins may lend you to start Lambo. Especially given their recent play. However, the Redskins have only allowed 16 FGs on the season.

Defense

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers defense struggled last week against the Oakland Raiders. That struggle could continue this week against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are coming off a loss and have played exceptionally well away from Foxborough this season.

These players may kill your chances to move on in your playoffs. I would proceed with extreme caution if you need to place them in your lineup.
