Player Profile: Greg Little (Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss)

0

Offensive Tackle, Junior

6’5”, 325 lbs.

Overview: Greg Little is expected to make an immediate impact for the team he gets drafted by and is considered one of the best offensive linemen in this year’s draft class. He is expected by some to be drafted in the top 10 of the 2019 draft and seems to have all the tools to become a Pro Bowler. Depending on his performance at the combine, he could end up being picked in the top five. If the Buccaneers plan on targeting him, they should do so early in the first round. Trading down a few spots and still being able to snag Little would be a great scenario for the Bucs, as they would also acquire much-needed additional picks by doing so.

Pros: Great frame for the position. His physical play enables him to get to the second levels constantly and block linebackers. Excellent movement skills. Shows a desire to win. Has great instincts for the game, anticipates the defensive scheme quickly, and knows where potential blitzes could come from.

Cons: Has to work on his technique, as he tends to get called for holding too often. Struggles to get complete control of the defender he blocks. Has to drop his pad level in the run game in order to use his full strength.
