Report: Matt Bryant Cut By Falcons, Bucs Have Interest

The Atlanta Falcons have informed Matt Bryant that he will be released.
Bryant was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2005–2008.

Bryant is a fan favorite for his 62 yard FG to beat the Eagles in 2006.

He has a career FG% of 86.2 and appears to be interested in continuing his career.
With the issues the Buccaneers have had with kicking It wouldn’t be surprising to see GM Jason Licht bring him back to compete with Cairo.

It is now being reported by ESPN’s Vaughn McClure that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to have interest in signing the former Buccaneer in an effort to cure their kicking woes in recent years.
