Ellington has 1,752 career rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He was used frequently in the passing game in Arizona where collected 1,368 yards and three touchdowns. He played one year with the Houston Texans before missing all of the 2018 season after he remained unsigned.
If nothing else Ellington brings a veteran presence to a young backfield that includes last years starter Peyton Barber and the underwhelming rookie Ronald Jones. At the very most the Bucs could have a third-down back in key situations.
