The DeSean Jackson experiment has been a rocky one at best. As he has had two up and down seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Most of which have been down. His lack of production mostly been blamed on the lack of chemistry between Jackson and QB Jameis Winston.
Now it is being reported that if the Bucs front office was to approach him to take a pay cut, he would be unwilling to work with the team.

Even though this isn’t overly surprising, it confirms the reports and rumors coming out of One Buc Place. From the bad relationship between him and Winston, to the request to be traded mid-season, and even to the report’s that he generally secluded himself from the rest of the team.
With only 1,442 yards and 8 TD’s in both years in Tampa Bay, and he his $10M salary next season. None of which is guaranteed. Bruce Arians has made a few statements that he wants Jackson back on this team, but too much damage may have been done, and Jackson could be an easy target to clear cap space.
They could try to trade him at the start of free agency, but the more likely option is that they would simply release him in this scenario. One thing is starting to become clear Jackson’s seems like his time in Tampa Bay May be finished.
