It is being reported by Greg Auman of the Athletic that the Buccaneers are continuing to work on a long-term extension for RB Peyton Barber.

If the two sides can’t come to a deal, the thought is that the team will tender the restricted free agent.
In the event they do Tender Barber, other interested teams will have the ability to sign him away. Which will then give Tampa Bay the opportunity to either match the deal or let him walk.
At this juncture, it seems that the team will do anything possible to keep him in Tampa Bay for the long-term.
