The Buccaneers have waived WR Sergio Bailey per Greg Auman of the Athletic.
Bit of a surprise, but Bucs today waived receiver Sergio Bailey, who played well last preseason and spent his rookie year on injured reserve. Keeping five rookie receivers for now instead …

Bailey, due to injury, has never played a regular season down, and will not get the chance to do so with the Bucs this season.
He was due to make $495,333 this season. Of that $667 of which will go against the cap due to his release.
In no way does this solve the Bucs cap space issues, but does chip a bit away.
