*Updated to include official announcement
Late last night it was reported by Jenna Laine of ESPN that former CB Ronde Barber is expected to be the next player inducted into the Bucs Ring Of Honor.
No formal announcement has been made yet, but a source tells me that Ronde Barber will be the newest member of the Buccaneer Ring of Honor. Look for the team to announce something in the coming days. https://t.co/sd8bryCmP3

This morning the team officially announced its decision to induct Barber into their Ring of Honor.
Congratulations to Rondé Barber who will be our 2019 Ring of Honor inductee!

Barber was a 3rd round pick, 66th overall, out Virginia by the Bucs. He spent 16 seasons in the NFL. All of which were for the Bucs. In 2002, he won his only Super Bowl with Tampa Bay. In fact he made the game sealing interception vs the Eagles in the NFC Championship game that year to guarantee their spot in the Super Bowl.
He started in 233 games and collected 47 INT’s, 8 TD’s, 197 PD’s, 15 FF with 4 returned for TD’s, 28 sacks, and 1,231 combined tackles.
Needed to say, his induction into the Ring Of Honor is greatly warranted.
