Just shortly after news broke that Gerald McCoy would be released by the Buccaneers per Rick Stroud of the Times, he’s already garnering interest. First team to pop up. Cleveland.

The new Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is seemingly trying to softly recruit McCoy to northern Ohio. There have been previous reports in Ohio sports media that the Browns do in fact have an interest in the former All-Pro DT, but were apparently not willing to part with draft pics to do it.
Smart move by Cleveland. Who can now sign him while losing nothing but cap space. Which they have some to spare.
