The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have failed to reach a longterm deal with wide receiver Chris Godwin. They will now place the franchise tag on him.

Bucs are giving receiver Chris Godwin the franchise tag for a second year in a row. He’ll make $19.2 million in 2022 if they can’t work out a longterm deal.

The Buccaneers will continue working on a longterm deal with Godwin. They have until July 15th to get a longterm deal done, but for now he counts $19.2 million against the cap.
