Patriots lose LeGarrette Blount for the rest of the season.

The rest of the season does not seem like a big deal for the Patriots, having collected their 7th straight AFC title. The Playoffs will be a long, hard road for New England as injuries have plagued them for the last few weeks. And now, being down a key offensive player in LeGarrette Blount, Brady will have to rely on a short list of running backs to compensate for the loss of their 700-yard running back. Thankfully, his wide receivers will be healthy and he will not have to lean on the running game.

“The Patriots have lost another key starter to injury, this time for the season. The team will place running back LeGarrette Blount on season-ending injured reserve, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported according to sources informed of the injury. Blount suffered a hip injury in Sunday’s win over the Texans.” -Report by Gregg Rosenthal
