Lavonte David is in Hawaii, and he is in the Pro Bowl. Shouldn’t he be happy? Well, he is, sort of. Not being selected outright has left a bad taste in his mouth, and it should. He has not been selected for the Pro Bowl, as a first- ballot ever in his career and he had earned the right to be there every year. I’m sure he can find some joy in being there, with his family, in Hawaii, on vacation, but I doubt he will find any solace in being filler for a team that otherwise wouldn’t have had enough players, due to the amount of declined invites. You should have a chip on your shoulder, sir. Heck, I have too.
“Buccaneers LB Lavonte David has finally received the long-awaited Pro Bowl validation he clearly deserved, but he won’t be truly satisfied until he’s a first-ballot selection.” – Reported by Scott Smith
