The Raiders have agreed to terms with safety Reggie Nelson. Nelson receives a two-year contract that will fetch him $12 million dollars.
The free agent safety met with the Raiders recently, and the tales of the tape made it an easy decision for the team. The Bengals did not show interest in re-signing the safety that had an exceptional 2015 season for them.
Reggie Nelson was a first-round pick for the Jags in ’07 and spent three years with them before being traded to the Bengals. Nelson appeared in all 16 games, during the 2015 season, he recorded 77 tackles, a whopping eight interceptions, fourteen pass defends, and two forced fumbles.
