The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released kicker Connor Barth. Although this move was expected, it’s still hard to see the long time Tampa kicker go, again. He was released several times but always found his way back into the Bay, this, however, may be the release that sticks.
Connor Barth was 23 of 28 on field-goal attempts last season and although he was released, he was warmly welcomed back, as a hero, in the wake of the Kyle Brindza fiasco. Hopefully, Barth quickly finds another kicking job. I wish nothing, but the best for the veteran kicker.
In Connor Barth style, cool and classy, he shouted out to the new Buccaneers via Twitter.
Congrats to @_RobertoAguayo with @TBBuccaneers ..Hope you have a long career in #Tampa ! Hold it down man! @NFL @espn #respect ?? #kickers”
