Cameron Brate has an uncanny ability.

With Austin Seferian-Jenkins out most of the last season, Cameron Brate got a chance to play and he played well. Brate instantly became a fan favorite after the fall of ASJ and went on to become a favored target in the red zone for Jameis Winston. Although he was only targeted 30 times overall, he still managed 3 touchdowns and 288 yards.

Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter is taking notice of Brate’s ability to show up in the red zone and is keeping an eye on the tight end who could possibly take the starting position.

“Cam has got an uncanny ability to show up in the red zone and we saw that again today.”

ASJ’s Twitter fiasco and the fact that he screwed up in practice gave Brate another opportunity to prove his worth and prove he does time and time again. Brate could be the sleeper of the year for Tampa Bay and that would not surprise in the least.
