The Buccaneers have announced that Barber will be on the active roster. Barber left college early, after a breakout season with Auburn. He chose to leave early and enter the NFL draft in the hope of being able to help support his homeless mother. He was not pressured into leaving college by his mother or any other family member but decided for himself that it would be a gamble worth taking, in order to help his family.
