Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald has taken this honoring a few extra steps when it comes to his dedication to helping military families in the Tampa area. This dedication and commitment have made him the team’s nominee for USAA’s 2016 Salute to Service award.

His passion for helping military families should come as no surprise when you learn of the wide variety of his own family members who have served. His Grandfather served in the Korean War, his Father was an Air Force engineer in the Vietnam War, his Uncle served in Vietnam as well, and his Brother is currently active in the Air Force.

The finalists for the Salute to Service award will be announced sometime in January, and the winner will be announced at the NFL Honors Awards show in Houston on February 4th, the night before the Super Bowl.
