The Buccaneers have claimed DT Sealver Siliga off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.
The 26-year-old DT signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He was there just a few months before signing with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos then traded Siliga to the Seahawks for G John Moffitt. Seattle chose to waive him a few months later. Siliga then signed to the Patriots’ practice squad.
The Patriots never gave Siliga a restricted offer, allowing him to test the market as an unrestricted free agent. The Seahawks signed him to a contract back in March but had to place him on injured reserve and later cut him loose coming out of preseason.
The Seahawks signed him to another contract almost a month ago before cutting him yet again yesterday. Let’s see if Siliga can find his home here in Tampa instead.
