Guess who tied a Buccaneers franchise record last season?

I’ll give you a hint: He went to Havard.

His 8 touchdown receptions have tied former Buccaneers great, Jimmy Giles for the most Buccaneers touchdown receptions by a tight end in a single season. I think it is safe to say that we can now call him Brate “The Great.”

According to NFL.COM’s Game Logs,  Brate only started 10 games last season but did play in all 16 regular season games, while Jimmy Giles started all 16 when he set the record in1985.

In case you did not know, Cameron Brate was undrafted in 2015, and in his rookie season, he had scored three TD’s. He got his break because ASJ, well you know the story there, and good thing he got that break because Brate could turn out to be one of the best tight ends the Bucs ever had. He definitely can join the list of the Buccaneers tight end in history alongside names like Ron Hall, Jimmy Giles, Kellen Winslow Jr., Dave Moore, and Jackie Harris.
