Ali Marpet getting a new job? Bucs to experiment during training camp.

With the offseason in the mid-stretch, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers still have questions on the offensive line. Well, frankly it is the offensive line.

This week Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times wrote an article about the possibility of some experimentation during training camp and that that would involve Ali Marpet getting snaps and some play at the Center position.

Coach Dirk Koetter believes that Marpet could be a dominant center, and he has already proven that he is able to play center when he took on that responsibility during the 2015 Senior Bowl. His impeccable run blocking, great communication, and his ability to get out and involved the screen game makes him able to play just about any position on the line.

Although Coach also stated that they feel comfortable Joe Hawley and Evan Smith at center, but with Marpet at center that would allow the flexibility of moving J.R. Sweezy back to his natural position of right guard and give Kevin Pamphile the opportunity to fill the left guard position.

Putting Marpet at center could work and likely solidify the middle of the line, allowing Marpet to take his game to the next level!
