The Buccaneers have decided to part ways with the former 2012 first round draft pick and two time Pro Bowl running back.
Releasing Martin should free up close to $6.8 million in cap space. Martin was in the third year of his 5-year $35.75 million contract. Martin was suspended last year for P.E.D. violation has not been able to live up to anywhere his 2015 performance.
In the last 2 seasons Martin has only been able to achieve 827 yards on the ground and 6 TDs.
