Could the Bucs Target QB Ryan Finley in the 2019 Draft?

It’s no secret the Buccaneers are in the middle of a serious QB controversy. Coach Dirk Koetter has benched the former number 1 overall pick QB Jameis Winston. If the team decides to move on from Winston, the Buccaneers have several choices—either build through the draft or sign a big name in the offseason. If they do decide to build through the draft, one QB sticks out from the rest, and that QB is Ryan Finley of NC State.

In 2016 Finley took over the starting QB job at NC State, and he didn’t disappoint, throwing for 3,059 yards to just 8 interceptions. In 2018, his senior year, he is putting up great stats again, 2,250 yards in 7 games with 13 TDs and a career high 149.9 QBR.

Finley is also very active in the pocket with enough speed to escape sacks. He ran for 194 yards in his junior year. He is also a very accurate passer and, in my opinion, would look great in red and pewter.
