DeSean Jackson To See Hand Specialist

WR DeSean Jackson sustained a thumb injury during week 11’s contest against the New York Giants. He was listed as questionable entering into week 12’s contest against the 49ers. However, the persistent injury did not keep him from playing in the game.

Jackson was targeted 8 times last Sunday, only catching three for 19 yards. The thumb injury could account for some of the missed opportunities. However, it is evident that Jackson and Winston have connection issues and that has been the case since Jackson arrived in Tampa.

The veteran wide receiver had seen a specialist here in Tampa for his injury but will head to New York for a second opinion.

If Jackson does not play in week 13 against the Panthers, that will give second-year Chris Godwin more snaps, which is not a bad thing. We would likely see more targets go to Adam Humphries as well.
