It is being reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that it was revealed during the 2019 Combine that Mississippi State DE Montez Sweat has a pre-existing heart condition.
Prospects have been sent home for medical issues. Sweat was allowed to participate — a good sign perhaps. His agents say "Montez is the same person that was medically cleared to play and dominate the SEC, the Senior Bowl, and the NFL combine." https://t.co/DsVZLd53Ne

Combine participants are typically sent home if they have medical concerns. Sweat though was allowed to participate and his agent has made a statement that it hasn’t affected his ability to dominate on the field thus far.
Sweat could be an interesting prospect for a Bucs team that needs more help in the pass-rushing department. The question is if this new revelation will deter teams like the Bucs from taking on a prospect with health issues from the start.
At this point it’s hard to tell how much this will hurt Sweat’s draft stock. Initially Sweat was projected as a late first round draft pick.
Stay tuned as more details become available.
