Is Charles Sims the player to watch after bye week?

Charles Sims definitely has increased his value this season. He was the unsung hero in last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and very well be one of the major weapons in the Buccaneers’ arsenal against the Washington Redskins. His ability to obtain large amounts of yards after the catch make him a dominate receiving back coming out of the backfield. I more than enjoyed his performance last week and cannot wait to see him perform next Sunday.

“While his rushing numbers won’t necessarily wow anyone (135 yards rushing; 3.6 yards per carry average), Sims has been a big asset in the passing game.Sims has 193 receiving yards on 14 catches and two touchdowns. Of his 14 catches, seven have gone for first downs. The touchdowns are tied for the team lead with Jackson and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins while the receptions and yards are second only to Jackson. Thus, by being able to relieve Martin and keep him fresh as well as being a dangerous third-down back, Sims provides the Buccaneers with another dangerous weapon in the backfield.” – Reported by Rick Brown
