Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was selected by Sam Monson of (PFF) Pro Football Focus to be one of the top 10 players under the age of 25 to rank in the top 101 players in the NFL next season. Last season, as we all know, Jameis started out with a pick six and a walloping at home. However, the young QB bounced back with poise and determination that allowed him to follow, former OC Dirk Koetter’s game plan and find himself in the record books, as the third rookie in history to throw for more than 4,000 yards. Now with his former OC promoted to HC, Jameis finds himself in the perfect setting to take the NFL by storm in 2016.
Jameis Winston, QB, Buccaneers is listed as third in the top ten list put together by PFF’s Sam Monson. “Jameis Winston is another player whose game has been all about highs and lows. Good Winston put in some outstanding games as a rookie, but his opening-day performance was the single-worst grade we gave any quarterback during the regular season, and he ended the year with a poor performance against an excellent Carolina defense in the Bucs’ final game. Overall, I think the balance was far more positive than negative, but the bad games were enough to keep him off the list as a rookie. If he takes a step forward in year two, or just avoids any disastrous games, then he should make the list.”
