hargreavesThe Buccaneers first round selection, Vernon Hargreaves, received high praise for his performance in week
one’s matchup.
Having played every snap, head coach Dirk Koetter was more than happy with the way Hargreaves handled his assignments, especially the ones placing him against Julio Jones.
Julio Jones was a perfect way to test the rookie’s merit early, as there will be plenty of big, talented receivers for him to face throughout this season.
Next up is the Cardinals.
The Arizona Cardinals host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Sunday, and after losing at home to the Tom Brady-less Patriots, the Cardinals will be out for revenge. The Cardinals have two tough wide receivers, much like the Falcons, however, the Cardinals receivers are veterans with plenty of experience under their belts. Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown.
Vernon Hargreaves is ready to take on his next challenge, although he had not made his first interception on Matt Ryan, he will look to do so against Carson Palmer this week. But as said before the pro bowl receivers, that the Arizona Cardinals proudly boast, will be a tough assignment for any rookie.
Hargreaves is already proving that he is not your ordinary rookie, and I think that will be more evident in this next contest.
