Mike “Dependable” Evans

Due to the lack of talent on offense last season, Mike Evans turned out to be Jameis Winston’s only real go-to player, one that came up huge most of the time, even though due to the lack of talent on the rest of the roster, especially on offense, defenses would key in on him, but he came up huge when it was needed the most. Let’s just say with the upgrades to the offense this year, and without being under the pressure of having to carry our offense, there is no reason he can’t finish as a top 3 wide receiver this season and for many years to come.

Last year Evans had perhaps his best season of his young career, with 96 receptions for 1,321 and 12 TDS, with only a handful of drops. He and Winston are the primary reasons the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished with a 9-7 record in 2016, after a dismal 6-10 record in 2015.

The sky truly is the limit for Evans. Barring injury, there is no reason Evans can’t have an even bigger impact this coming season. Especially knowing he doesn’t have to do it all. We may very well have found the greatest wide receiver in the history of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Next up, the Hall of Fame?!?
